Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable, observable, and high-quality data products across a hybrid data platform. This role sets engineering standards, mentors team members, and works closely with Architecture, AI, Platform, and BI teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead batch and streaming data pipelines with reliability and cost efficiency

Standardise dbt, testing, CI/CD, and code review practices

Build governed data products with lineage, metadata, RBAC, and privacy controls

Deliver feature pipelines for AI and gold datasets for BI

Define SLAs and SLOs and lead incident response and continuous improvement

Work closely with Data Architecture, AI, MLOps, Platform, and BI teams

Required Experience

7+ years of experience in data engineering at scale

Strong SQL, data modelling, and advanced Python

Deep experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and performance tuning

Strong dbt experience, including testing and documentation

Streaming experience with Kafka or Event Hubs and CDC tools

Azure data services, IAM, and infrastructure as code

Experience with BI enablement and AI feature pipelines

Healthcare data experience is a strong advantage
