About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Design Development Coordinator to support and coordinate the development of interior design concepts into fully detailed, coordinated, and buildable solutions.
This role acts as a key link between concept design, 3D visualization, FF&E, and technical documentation, ensuring that all outputs are aligned, practical, and ready for execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Development & Coordination
- Translate concept direction into detailed interior design solutions
- Develop layouts, zoning, spatial planning, and circulation logic
- Define materials, finishes, ceiling concepts, and key design elements
- Ensure consistency across all project areas
- Resolve design gaps before technical documentation
2. Design Coordination (instead of leadership)
- Coordinate with:
- 3D designers / visualizers
- FF&E designer
- Concept team
- Provide clear design briefs, markups, and references
- Align all parties on design direction (not managing performance)
- Review outputs before client presentation
3. 3D & Visualization Coordination
- Brief 3D team with clear, structured direction
- Review draft renders to ensure alignment with actual design decisions
- Ensure renders reflect real, buildable materials and layouts
4. FF&E Integration
- Work closely with FF&E to:
- Finalize furniture layouts and selections
- Approve materials, fabrics, and finishes
- Ensure alignment with concept and budget
- Validate that selections are realistic and specifiable
5. Technical Coordination
- Prepare clear handover packages to technical office, including:
- Layouts and zoning
- Material and finish direction
- Furniture intent
- Key dimensions and notes
- Coordinate during drawing development phase
- Review drawings to ensure alignment with design intent
6. Client & Internal Presentation Support
- Support in preparing design presentations
- Ensure outputs are clear, structured, and visually strong
- Attend client meetings when needed (design stages)
7. Quality Control
- Review design outputs before:
- Client presentations
- Technical documentation
- Ensure no unresolved design issues move forward
- Maintain consistent design quality across projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design (Engineering background preferred)
- 5–8 years of experience in interior design / construction
- Strong experience in design development (not just concept or drafting)
- Strong coordination skills across multiple disciplines
- Ability to read and review technical drawings
Technical Skills
- Strong spatial planning and layout skills
- Deep understanding of materials, finishes, and detailing
- AutoCAD (must)
- 3ds Max or similar visualization tools
- Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)
