Build, Automate, and Scale Reliable Cloud Platforms.
We're looking for a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to own and operate our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across mission-critical systems. In this role, you'll take the lead on AWS platforms, contribute knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), run production-grade PostgreSQL environments, and deliver reliable CI/CD pipelines for Odoo and related services using Terraform.
You'll collaborate closely with ERP/Odoo, IT, and Security teams to build scalable, automated, and resilient platforms that directly support business growth and operational excellence.
What You'll Be Doing:
Cloud Platforms (AWS Primary + OCI Knowledge)
- Design, build, and operate AWS services including VPC, EC2/EKS/ECS, ALB/NLB, S3, Route 53, IAM/KMS, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, Backup, and cost optimization.
- Configure and operate OCI services such as VCN, Compute, Load Balancer, Object Storage, Block Volumes, File Storage, IAM/Policies/Compartments, Monitoring, Logging, WAF, Bastion, and Cloud Guard.
- Implement secure networking, image hardening, patching, and cost governance across cloud platforms.
PostgreSQL DBA & Performance
- Install, upgrade, harden, and operate PostgreSQL in production environments.
- Manage replication, backup and restore strategies, and connection pooling.
- Perform deep performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and autovacuum tuning.
Odoo Operations (Linux)
- Deploy, configure, and scale Odoo environments (workers, long polling).
- Manage add-ons, reverse proxies (Nginx/HAProxy), SSL/TLS, backups, and Redis caching.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across application, database, OS, and network layers.
CI/CD & Automation
- Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines with multi-stage deployments and environment promotions.
- Manage GitLab Runners, secrets, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform modules and remote state.
Observability, Reliability & Security
- Implement metrics, logging, and monitoring using CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, and ELK/OpenSearch or Loki.
- Lead incident response, improve MTTR, and maintain runbooks and reliability standards.
- Apply security best practices including IAM least privilege, secrets management, and vulnerability management.
Collaboration & Governance
- Partner with ERP/Odoo, Infrastructure, Security, and Support teams on releases and maintenance windows.
- Maintain architecture documentation, SOPs, and support audits and change management processes.
What You Bring to the Table:
Minimum Qualifications (Must Have)
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, including 3+ years as a PostgreSQL DBA in production.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS architecture, operations, and security.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services.
- Proven experience with GitLab CI/CD and Terraform.
- Production experience running Odoo on Linux.
- Strong Linux administration, networking fundamentals, and scripting skills (Bash/Python).
- Excellent documentation and communication skills in Arabic & English.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, and container security.
- Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault, Redis, and advanced Nginx/HAProxy configurations.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, dashboards-as-code, and security/compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Retail or POS system integrations and SSO solutions.
- Relevant certifications (AWS, Terraform, PostgreSQL).
