Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Leadership:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies for warehousing and fleet operations that support the company's growth and profitability goals.
    • Provide strong leadership and direction to warehouse and fleet management teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
    • Stay abreast of industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in logistics and transportation.
    • Contribute to the development of the overall supply chain strategy.
  • Warehouse Management:
    • Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
    • Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layouts, processes, and workflows to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse performance, such as inventory accuracy, order cycle time, and cost per unit.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe and secure working environment within the warehouse.
    • Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, if applicable.
    • Implement and manage warehouse management systems (WMS) to optimize inventory control and visibility.
    • Manage distinct bonded and non bonded warehouse processes and ensure full compliance with customs regulations for both bonded and non-bonded goods, including accurate documentation and segregation.
    • Oversee inventory control and reporting for both bonded and non-bonded stock, serving as the primary liaison with customs authorities for bonded warehouse activities
  • Fleet Management & Last Mile delivery:
    • Oversee route planning and optimization to improve delivery efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
    • Manage parts procurement for repairs and warranty recovery, as well as confirming repair schedules with vendors.
    • Direct staff in daily activities of fleet management operations.
    • Review cost effectiveness, equipment and worker performance, and adherence to regulations.
    • Review order and production schedules to prioritize duties and shipping dates.
    • Analyze data to increase business operational efficiency.
    • Manage the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal utilization, maintenance, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Develop and implement fleet maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and ensure vehicle safety.
    • Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and licensing requirements
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure all warehouse and fleet operations comply with relevant local regulations and safety standards.
    • Develop and implement safety protocols and training programs for warehouse staff and drivers.
    • Oversee regular safety audits and inspections.
  • Sales:
    • Responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding the company's client base.
    • Overseeing the selling of integrated logistics solutions including warehousing, transportation and value added 3PL services to clients.
