Role Overview
The Senior Document Controller will lead the document control function across multiple projects, ensuring robust systems are in place to manage documentation efficiently and in compliance with UAE regulations and company standards. This role requires a proactive leader who can oversee document workflows, mentor junior staff, and support project governance through accurate and timely documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
- Lead the document control team across civil, infrastructure, and luxury residential projects.
- Develop and implement document control policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide mentorship and training to document controllers and administrative staff.
Document Control Systems
- Manage electronic document management systems (EDMS) and ensure proper configuration.
- Oversee document tracking, version control, and approval workflows.
- Ensure timely distribution of project documentation to relevant stakeholders.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to UAE regulations, industry standards, and company governance frameworks.
- Support project audits, inspections, and reporting requirements with accurate documentation.
- Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure document control efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders to resolve documentation issues.
- Act as the primary point of contact for document control matters across projects.
- Ensure transparency and accountability in all document-related processes.
Job Requirements
- Proven track record in senior document control roles within contracting, construction, or infrastructure organizations.
- Strong expertise in electronic document management systems and project documentation standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with financial discipline and transparency.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; professional certifications preferred.
