Role Description The Senior Electrical BIM Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt, responsible for leading electrical Building Information Modeling (BIM) activities for complex infrastructure and building projects. This role involves developing and coordinating detailed electrical BIM models, producing and reviewing construction drawings, and ensuring alignment with multidisciplinary teams including MEP, architectural, and civil engineering disciplines. The Senior Electrical BIM Engineer will manage model accuracy, clash detection, and documentation standards, while supporting design optimization and constructability reviews. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with project managers and engineers, maintaining BIM templates and standards, mentoring junior team members, and supporting quality assurance processes to meet project timelines and technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Building Information Modeling (BIM) skills, including experience with leading BIM platforms and model coordination.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Construction Drawings, including developing, reviewing, and updating detailed electrical layouts and schedules.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with a focus on electrical design integration within multidisciplinary projects.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with Architecture and Civil Engineering concepts to support interdisciplinary coordination and clash resolution.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Several years of experience in electrical BIM engineering within construction, infrastructure, or related industries, preferably in EPC environments.
• Proficiency in relevant BIM and CAD software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) and understanding of applicable codes and standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in diverse project teams.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or BIM modelers and contributing to the development of BIM standards and workflows is beneficial.
