Job Brief:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the water treatment industry and a strong background in electrical engineering. This role will involve designing and preparing electrical technical submittals, managing electrical parts of operation and maintenance manuals, and coordinating with suppliers for electrical work.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and Preparation of Electrical Technical Submittals:
- Create Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, BOQs, Cable Lists, Load Schedules, Layouts, lighting, and small power.
- Ensure coordination with other departments for comprehensive submittals.
Operation and Maintenance Manual (OMM):
- Prepare the electrical section of the OMM.
- Create all necessary electrical test forms, including but not limited to FAT, SAT, Mega Ohm Test, Continuity and Loop Test, and Functional Test.
Supplier Coordination:
- Send RFQs to suppliers for electrical work.
- Follow up on all coordination, negotiations, and technical meetings, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Programming:
- Program Micro Relays such as LOGO and Zelio.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum7 years of experienceinwater treatment / wastewater / desalination / utilitiesprojects.
- Proven background inelectrical design(not just site execution/maintenance).
- Supplier coordination experience sending RFQs, technical evaluation, and follow-ups.
- Micro relay programming experience specificallyLOGOandZeliorelays.
- Must be well-versed in thecomplete electrical scope, including lighting, earthing, panels, fire systems, UPS, instrumentation, etc.
Ability to prepareelectrical technical submittals (Mandate),including:
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Schematic Diagrams
- BOQs, Cable Lists, Load Schedules
- Lighting & small power layouts
Knowledge oftesting and commissioningprocedures:
- FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)
- SAT (Site Acceptance Test)
- Continuity, Loop, and Functional Tests
