Our client is a leading engineering consultancy in Dubai with an exceptional portfolio of high-rise residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments across the UAE. With a reputation for technical excellence and innovation, they are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their design team and contribute to some of Dubai's most prestigious tower projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of design experience, with significant exposure to high-rise projects
- Proven experience with electrical systems for towers 30+ floors
- Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, DEWA standards, and local codes
- Proficiency in electrical design software (Dialux, AutoCAD, Revit MEP)
- Experience with HV/LV power distribution, emergency power systems, and lighting design
- Chartered Engineer status or Professional Engineer registration preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for high-rise residential and commercial towers
- Prepare single-line diagrams, load calculations, and lighting layouts
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines
- Review contractor shop drawings and submittals
- Conduct site visits and provide technical support during construction
- Ensure designs comply with DEWA requirements and UAE regulations
- Liaise with authorities for approvals and NOCs
- Mentor junior engineers and review their technical work
- Participate in value engineering and design optimisation
- Support tendering processes and respond to technical queries
