Job Brief:

We are seeking a highly experiencedSenior Electrical Site Engineerto lead the electrical execution ofwater and wastewater treatment projects, particularly onnew/greenfield sites. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across thecomplete electrical scope, from design coordination through site installation, testing, and commissioning. This role requires a site-focused professional with proven leadership experience onindustrial or infrastructure projects, rather than residential buildings, O&M-only roles, or panel workshopbased work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage allelectrical site activitiesforgreenfield water and wastewater treatment projects, including setting up electrical systems and networks from initial site development through commissioning.
  • Review, coordinate, and approveElectrical Technical Submittals, including Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, BOQs, Cable Lists, Load Schedules, and Power & Lighting Layouts, ensuring full alignment with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation scopes.
  • Supervise installation, routing, glanding, termination, and testing ofLV electrical systems, including panels, lighting, earthing & lightning protection, UPS, fire systems, and instrumentation interfaces.
  • Lead and reviewFAT, SAT, Megger, Continuity, Loop, and Functional Testing, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide technical leadership to site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and technicians, ensuring safe execution and timely progress of works.
  • Resolve site-level technical issues and ensure field execution strictly aligns with approved drawings and engineering standards.
  • Managesupplier coordination, including RFQ issuance, technical evaluations, material approvals, and site-related electrical procurement activities.
  • Oversee and coordinatePLC, SCADA, and control panel integrationin collaboration with instrumentation and automation teams.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, consultants, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review and finalizeOperation & Maintenance documentationfor project handover (excluding routine maintenance activities).
  • Ensure strict adherence toHSE policies, local authority regulations, and industry best practices for electrical works.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and draftsmen in both design coordination and site execution activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree inElectrical Engineering.
  • 710 years of experiencein electrical installation, testing, and commissioning withinwater or wastewater treatment projects.
  • Candidates from closely related water-based industrial sectors (e.g., pumping systems, water/sewage pumping stations, district cooling plants with water systems exposure) may also be considered.
  • Proven experience leading electrical works onnew/greenfield industrial or infrastructure construction sites.
  • Strong exposure across thefull electrical scope, including lighting, earthing & lightning protection, LV panels, UPS, fire systems, instrumentation interfaces, cabling, glanding, termination, and testing.
  • Experience should beprimarily site-based construction; candidates whose background is largely limited toO&M-only roles, residential buildings, medium/high voltage systems, or panel workshop environmentsare not preferred.
  • Hands-on experience withelectrical testing and commissioning, including FATs, SATs, Megger testing, loop testing, and functional testing.
  • Strong working knowledge ofPLC/HMI/SCADA systemsand control panel integration (certification preferred).
  • Experience inRFQ preparation, supplier coordination, and technical evaluations.
  • Proficiency inAutoCADand electrical documentation; familiarity with electrical design and automation tools is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams on site.
