Job Brief:
We are seeking a highly competent and experiencedSenior Electrical Site Engineerto lead the electrical scope of water treatment projects. The ideal candidate will oversee all site-based electrical activities from design coordination to installation, testing, and commissioning. This role requires a strong command of technical documentation, supplier coordination, and on-site leadership to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant project execution.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, review, and approval process ofElectrical Technical Submittals, including Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, BOQs, Cable Lists, Load Schedules, and Power & Lighting Layouts, ensuring full coordination with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation teams.
- Supervise allelectrical site activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approveFAT, SAT, Megger, Continuity, and Loop Testdocumentation, ensuring quality assurance across all testing and commissioning stages.
- Provide technical direction to site engineers, subcontractors, and technicians, ensuring effective work allocation and timely progress of electrical works.
- Conduct design verification and resolve on-site technical issues to maintain compliance with project drawings and standards.
- Overseesupplier evaluation, RFQ issuance, and technical comparisonfor electrical components, ensuring alignment with project and budgetary requirements.
- Review and validatePLC, SCADA, and control panel integrationwith relevant engineering teams and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and internal departments to achieve seamless electrical integration across project phases.
- Prepare and reviewOperation & Maintenance documentationfor handover (excluding routine maintenance execution).
- Ensure the implementation ofHSE standardsand site safety procedures related to electrical activities.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and draftsmen in design and site execution tasks.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree inElectrical Engineering.
- Minimum710 years of experiencein electrical works related towater treatment, oil & gas, or industrial projects, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.
- Strong background inelectrical installation, testing, and commissioningof LV systems, panels, instrumentation interfaces, cable routing, glanding, and termination.
- Proven expertise inPLC/HMI/SCADA system commissioning(certification preferred).
- Experience inRFQ preparation, supplier management, and site-level project execution.
- Proficiency inAutoCAD, electrical design software, and familiarity with control system programming tools.
- The candidate should be a technically strong, site-focused electrical engineerwho can lead end-to-end electrical execution in awater treatment environment.
- Someone whounderstands both design and implementation, ensuring field execution aligns with approved drawings.
- A candidate who cancoordinate effectivelywith instrumentation, civil, and mechanical teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- A driving license is preferred.
