JOB DESCRIPTION
The role is responsible for independently conducting all operations related to neurodiagnostic by observing all standards of operational rules and procedures. The role might be responsible for managing staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining a necessary inventory of supplies for assigned room or work station, rotation of stock in an orderly fashion and eliminating outdated items.
- Informs supervisor of equipment malfunction and/or need for repair. Documenting all testing procedures.
- Plans laboratory schedules; assigning priorities according to the workload and clinical urgency
- Participates in technical conferences and meetings
- Assumes of the laboratory supervisor in their absence.
- Measures and accurately applies electrodes in a timely manner, according to the International
10-20 System and ensures that electrode impedance meets laboratory standards
- Performs routine and advanced EEG records according to the standards of the laboratory
- Performs routine and advanced long-term video monitoring EEG in the epilepsy monitoring unit
- Performs routine and advanced Evoked Potentials such as Visual, Brainstem, and Somatosensory studies with high-quality results
- Performs routine and advanced Nerve Conduction Study in a highly skilled and patientappropriate manner
- Knowledge of appropriate actions to take during patient emergency situations
Accountabilities
- Monitors and develops quality improvement indicators to ensure continuous professional and technical development such as job competency and performance evaluation of the staff.
- Coordinates and participates in education sessions for the staff.
- Assist in hiring and training of new staff.
- Handles all issues concerning the department and relays to supervisor if needed.
- Order all supplies and equipment's needed in the lab.

- NLT 4 years experience in a hospital setting

- Bachelor Degree (3 years) in the field of Applied Sciences, Neurophysiology or Biophysics/Physiology or equivalent 3 years diploma, from a recognized institution.
