ELV/ICT Engineering Consultant
Job Description:
As a Senior ELV/ICT Engineering Consultant, you will play a critical role in the design and delivery of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and Information Communications Technology (ICT) systems for high-profile projects across the Middle East. You will apply your technical expertise to develop detailed design solutions and ensure project deliverables are met on time and to a high standard. This role requires collaboration with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients to drive project success and maintain exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Design & Delivery:
- Design and Documentation:
- Develop comprehensive ELV/ICT systems designs, including:
- Structured cabling systems (LAN/WAN, GPON, and wireless).
- CCTV systems, access control, and audio-visual systems.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and system schematics using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Compliance:
- Ensure designs meet Middle Eastern regulations (e.g., SIRA, ADMCC, MOI) and international standards (BICSI, ISO, TIA/EIA).
- Technical Support:
- Provide input and peer review of technical documentation prepared by the project team.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve design issues and ensure alignment with client requirements.
- Innovation & Solutions:
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in ELV/ICT systems.
- Proactively identify opportunities for design and performance improvements.
Project Management & Time Management:
- Deliverables & Timelines:
- Manage your own deliverables and timelines across multiple projects.
- Provide regular progress updates and ensure milestones are achieved as planned.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated solutions.
- Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Client Engagement & Team Development:
- Build strong relationships with clients and ensure technical solutions align with their needs.
- Support team members by offering mentorship and technical guidance.
- Represent the team in client-facing meetings, ensuring a professional and consultative approach.
Qualifications:
- Relevant Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 57 years of experience in ELV/ICT systems design and delivery.
- Certifications preferred (or eligible to obtain):
- BICSI RCDD, AVIXA CTS, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in design and collaboration tools:
- AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with Middle Eastern security and communications regulations (SIRA, ADMCC, MOI, CST, DU, Etisalat).
