The principal role of the Structure Engineer is to regularly carry out physical audits on ADNOC Drilling offshore/onshore sites and advise on the status of the technical integrity of assets structure on ADNOC Drilling sites thereby ensuring that safe and consistent application of Company and regulatory codes and standards takes place and good engineering practices are followed.

The Structure Engineer, is accountable for ensuring that the integrity of assets structures are safeguarded whilst having due regard for the principles of best practice and risk-based decision-making. In addition, the Structure Engineer may form part of a composite team charged with considering overall business risk to include financial, commercial and reputation as well as technical risk.

As part of the responsibilities the Structure Engineer, will keep abreast of developments in relation to Integrity Management, and to manage, direct, and in some cases carry out, specific studies and evaluations (both contracted-out and performed in-house) for marine items of ADNOC Drilling assets. They will direct and participate with other AID Teams, in reviewing detailed specifications and scopes of work for contracted activities, advice/ endorse contractors pre-qualification, and endorse technical evaluation for contract awarding.
