The Role

In order to meet Saudisation requirements, this role is only open to Saudi nationals.

Charles Taylor Adjusting are a leading global loss adjusting firm headquartered in London with an office in Riyadh. We are known for our technical excellence, market integrity, and professional independence. As we continue to grow and serve the Saudi insurers and global reinsurance markets in the construction, engineering, energy, marine and power sectors, we are looking to employee a Senior Engineering Loss Adjuster with a minimum of 7 years experience adjusting engineering claims in the Saudi insurance market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to learn how to manage and adjust large and complex engineering and industrial claims to a standard accepted by the international reinsurance markets.
  • Conduct on-site investigations, technical evaluations, and damage assessments.
  • Review and interpret insurance and reinsurance policy wordings.
  • Prepare comprehensive and timely reports to insurers and reinsurers.
  • Represent the firm professionally in client meetings and technical discussions.
  • Liaise with insured parties, brokers, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain strong, ethical relationships with key insurers in Saudi Arabia.
  • Mentor junior adjusters and contribute to knowledge development across the team.

Required Skills

  • Must have excellent English Language skills (written, spoken and aural)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering loss adjusting in Saudi Arabia OR qualified Quantity Surveyor with industry experience and a keen interest in developing a career as a Loss Adjuster
  • Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, OR a qualified Quantity Surveyor
  • Certifications such as CILA, ACII, CEng, or equivalent qualifications are highly preferred.
  • Saudi Insurance Foundation Certificate (ICFE).
  • Well-established reputation with insurance companies and brokers from both international and Saudi markets
  • Not a shareholder or owner of any loss adjusting company (requirement for this role).
  • Ability to draft concise technical reports.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to travel for site inspections and manage claims within Saudi Arabia and internationally.
