Job Description
Senior Engineer (Rotating Equipment)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead the engineering, integration, testing, commissioning, and lifecycle management of complex industrial systems across major Oil & Gas EPC projects.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in integrated systems engineering, multidiscipline coordination, system integration, and commissioning within Oil & Gas, Power, Utilities, or Industrial Infrastructure projects.
YOUR ROLE
As Senior Engineer (Systems), your key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Engineering & Technical Leadership
- Review and verify engineering drawings, datasheets, specifications, and vendor documentation related to rotating equipment.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, client specifications, international standards, and industry codes.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, and technical risk studies.
- Provide technical solutions to engineering and construction challenges.
- Review technical queries (TQs), RFIs, and engineering change requests.
Rotating Equipment Management
- Lead installation, testing, commissioning, and startup activities for: Centrifugal Pumps, Positive Displacement Pumps, Process Pumps, Gas & Air Compressors, Blowers and Fans, Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Diesel Engines, Gearboxes, Generators, Fire Water Pumps, Utility Pumps, Mechanical Drive Systems, Skid-Mounted Packages, Cooling Tower Mechanical Systems
Construction & Project Execution
- Plan and supervise rotating equipment installation activities.
- Ensure installation compliance with approved procedures and drawings.
- Coordinate construction resources, manpower, and work sequencing.
- Monitor project schedules and support milestone achievement.
- Oversee equipment erection, setting, preservation, and storage activities.
Installation, Alignment & Commissioning
- Supervise foundation verification, equipment setting, and alignment activities.
- Monitor precision laser alignment and coupling installation.
- Verify balancing and vibration acceptance criteria.
- Witness mechanical run tests and performance verification.
- Support pre-commissioning, startup, and final system handover.
Reliability & Performance Improvement
- Analyze equipment performance and reliability metrics.
- Review vibration analysis and condition monitoring reports.
- Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve asset reliability.
- Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
Quality, HSE & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with approved ITPs, QA/QC requirements, and project specifications.
- Participate in inspections, audits, FATs, PDIs, and client reviews.
- Promote safe work practices and PTW compliance.
- Support risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, and vendor representatives.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI).
- Resolve technical issues related to equipment installation and commissioning.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience
- Minimum 10-12 years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
- At least 7 years of direct experience with rotating equipment in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, Power Generation, or EPC projects.
- Proven experience in installation, testing, commissioning, and startup of rotating equipment.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
- Preferred experience in GCC/Middle East projects, ADNOC projects, EPC Contractor environment
Education and Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
