About the role:

Euro Mechanical is looking for a Senior Estimation & Proposal Engineer - EPC.

The Senior Estimation & Proposal Engineer - EPC will lead the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Power & Utility sectors, ensuring that all cost components are thoroughly evaluated for tender proposals. This role will take ownership of proposal development, coordinate with project teams, procurement, and various engineering disciplines, and provide strategic input to optimize cost solutions. The Senior Engineer – EPC will also mentor junior staff, review their work for accuracy, and ensure compliance with client requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for large-scale Oil & Gas, Energy, Power, and Utility projects
  • Manage the full tendering lifecycle from document review to final proposal submission
  • Review drawings, specifications, and scope to identify cost drivers, risks, and commercial impacts
  • Supervise and mentor junior estimation staff, ensuring quality and accuracy of estimates
  • Obtain and negotiate competitive pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Develop and maintain cost databases, unit rates, and vendor data for estimation purposes
  • Analyze historical costs, benchmarks, and market trends to enhance estimate accuracy
  • Prepare and present cost breakdowns, risk assessments, and clarifications to management and clients
  • Ensure proposals comply with client requirements, company procedures, and industry best practices
  • Participate in site visits and technical reviews to validate project inputs
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project teams for accurate inputs
  • Provide strategic input on bid/no-bid decisions and risk mitigation
  • Maintain professional client communication and represent the company in pre-bid meetings and negotiations
  • Ensure timely submission of competitive and compliant proposals
  • Promote collaboration, ethical standards, and alignment with company values and goals

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Production, or related field)
  • 15+ years of proposal and estimation experience in Oil & Gas, Power, Water, and Wastewater sectors with strong industry and regulatory knowledge
  • Minimum 10 years of estimation experience with an EPC contractor (preferred)
