Job Title: Estimation Manager

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Headquarters)

Role Overview:

The Estimation Manager will be responsible for leading the estimating function across major projects, ensuring accurate, timely, and competitive bids. This role requires a strategic approach to cost planning, risk management, and collaboration with project teams to support successful project wins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the estimating team for multiple infrastructure and building projects.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, including detailed bill of quantities and tender submissions.
  • Analyse project specifications, designs, and technical documentation to determine scope and cost implications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and procurement to ensure estimates reflect realistic project delivery requirements.
  • Develop and maintain estimating standards, templates, and processes.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier quotes, negotiating as needed to optimise project costs.
  • Monitor market trends, material costs, and labour rates to ensure competitiveness.
  • Mentor and develop junior estimators, building a high-performing team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in estimating, preferably in infrastructure or large-scale construction projects in the Middle East.
  • Strong knowledge of construction costs, tendering processes, and procurement practices.
  • Proven experience leading and developing estimation teams.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, PQS) is highly desirable.
