Position Title: Senior Executive - Financial Reporting (Emirati)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our Shared Services Department. The role is responsible for leading and managing all functions related to management accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis for a major residential community. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance with IFRS standards, and provide financial insights that support business decisions and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
General Management
- Oversee and execute all management accounting and reporting activities to meet departmental objectives.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks in line with business plans, financial policies, and procedures.
- Manage departmental budgets, revenue, expense tracking, and capital expenditure processes.
Financial Management & Control
- Maintain, monitor, and update financial budgets across business units, including additions, transfers, and reductions.
- Consolidate budgets for the residential community and related shared services (revenue & expense).
- Perform revenue accounting for leasing activities in compliance with IFRS 16, as well as licensing-related revenue.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and provide required schedules for each accounting period.
- Coordinate with internal finance teams to ensure proper recording of transactions and correction of errors.
- Prepare and book adjusting entries in accordance with accrual accounting principles.
- Manage periodic and yearend financial closing activities.
- Ensure full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Produce monthly vacancy/occupancy performance reports for all property types in collaboration with operational units.
- Review allocated shared service costs for the residential community and recommend improvements to cost allocation methodologies.
- Develop and implement financial policies, guidelines, and best practices to support governance and operational efficiency.
Data Collection, Analysis & Reporting
- Support collection and validation of financial data from business units.
- Prepare and review financial business cases, feasibility studies, and assessment reports for ongoing and proposed projects.
- Identify variances between actuals and approved budgets, recommending corrective actions and efficiencies to enhance profitability.
- Consolidate, analyze, and report periodic (monthly and yearend) financial statements for senior management.
- Conduct endtoend revenue and expense analysis and share performance insights with Business Units and Financial Management.
- Manage internal and external audits related to financial reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and feasibility assessments for new services, pricing changes, incentives, offers, and community initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Professional certifications preferred).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 16.
- Experience in budget management, financial analysis, and month-end closing.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
