Job Description:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Prepare and manage the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Develop financial models to support business planning, product launches, and category growth strategies.
- Analyze business performance (sales, profitability, inventory turns) and identify areas of improvement or risks.
- Collaborate with category managers and business teams to track KPIs, review financial performance, and offer recommendations.
2. Business Partnering:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including category management, marketing, and inventory management to drive financial success across business verticals.
- Provide actionable insights and financial guidance to optimize product assortment, pricing, promotions, and stock management.
- Partner with merchandising and operations teams to ensure alignment between financial and operational strategies.
3. Automation & Data Visualization:
- Design and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide real-time visibility into key metrics such as sales, margins, and inventory levels.
- Lead the automation of key finance processes, ensuring efficiency and data accuracy.
- Support the business with financial data analysis using automation tools and techniques, driving insights for quicker decision-making.
4. Inventory & Category Management:
- Monitor and report on inventory metrics, such as stock turns, aging, and out-of-stock scenarios, providing recommendations to optimize working capital.
- Collaborate with category managers to ensure proper inventory levels, adjusting forecasts based on business trends, and mitigating risks of overstock or understock situations and manage the overall OTBs with planning teams.
- Conduct scenario analysis for new product introductions or promotions, evaluating their financial impact on the business.
5. Ad Hoc Analysis:
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis as required to support business decisions, including pricing strategies, cost analysis, and margin optimization.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive dynamics to offer strategic recommendations.
Qualification & Experience:
- CA/CPA/ACCA, Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in an FP&A role, preferably in eCommerce, Retail, FMCG environment.
- Strong understanding of business finance, category management and inventory planning.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and financial modelling; experience with automation tools (e.g., VBA, Python, or R) is a plus.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present findings to senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic.
