We are currently seeking a senior finance professional with a background in luxury hospitality/retail, based in Dubai, who is fluent in Mandarin.
You will oversee financial operations, strategic planning, and investor relations reporting back to a team in Hong Kong.
This role demands deep expertise in luxury retail finance, cross-border transactions, and stakeholder management with Mandarin-speaking partners, suppliers, and investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the Middle East luxury portfolio.
- Manage P&L, cash flow, and working capital with a focus on high-margin luxury inventory and seasonal collections.
- Drive financial due diligence and structuring for expansion
- Oversee tax structuring, transfer pricing, and compliance across UAE free zones and Chinese entities
- Partner with merchandising and supply chain teams to optimize cost of goods
- Prepare board-level presentations and investor updates in both English and Mandarin (simplified characters).
Requirements
- Must be fluent in Mandarin (native or business-fluent) written and spoken; ability to conduct high-level negotiations and presentations.
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in luxury space
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; CPA / CA / CFA / ACCA preferred. MBA a plus.
- Proven track record in Dubai or GCC luxury retail finance familiarity with VAT, free zone accounting, and ESG reporting.
