Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sr GL Accountant at ACCM located in Qesm El Maadi. The Sr GL Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing general ledger activities, and preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements in line with IFRS. Oversees month-end closing, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed assets. Supports audits, analyses financial variances, and ensures compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances.
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Perform accounting analysis for cash accruals, account payables, account receivables, reconciliation, and foreign exchange.
- Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliation.
- Support Auditor in conducting internal and external audit.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Quarterly finance statement including balance sheet-P&L and cash flow.
- Monthly expense journal entries and analysis per cost centers.
- Maintain capital assists ledger and review depreciation and amortization journal entries.
- Manage, prepare fixed assets register PUC transaction.
- Review financial reports to identify and explain variances.
- Adhere to standard accounting principles and company procedures.
- Recognition , measurement and handling the finance statement under international finance reporting standard
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting
- Fluent proficiency in English & Arabic
- At least 5 years of experience in Accounting/ finance
- Demonstanders ability to lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Excellent Communication and Problem Solving Skills.
- Excellent knowledge with Microsoft office and Odoo System
- High attention to detail and dedication to accuracy and precision in all aspects of accounting
- IFRS, governmental laws related to free zone paper work
