Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Graphic Designer with extensive experience in planning, urban design, and large-scale development projects. As a key member of the design department, you will play an important role in developing visually compelling and effective design solutions across both digital and print media.
The ideal candidate will bring advanced visual design expertise and a strong ability to translate complex planning and spatial concepts into clear, engaging, and presentation-ready graphics. V visual storytelling is critical to this position—you will be responsible not only for producing graphics, but for helping define how ideas, strategies, data and proposals are communicated clearly, succinctly and in a visually appealing way to clients, stakeholders, and decision‑makers.
You will also be responsible for high-quality project report production, client-facing presentation material preparation, plan and map creation and the ideation of infographics, iconography and diagrams, ensuring all outputs are visually consistent, strategically aligned, and design-led.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of high-quality visual materials for master planning and urban development projects, including presentations, reports, and pitch documents
- Translate data into clear visual storytelling graphics
- Develop diagrams, infographics, maps, and conceptual illustrations
- Collaborate closely with planners, designers, architects and engineers to understand project requirements and narratives
- Ensure consistency across all project deliverables in alignment with client and corporate standards
- Support proposal submissions, competitions, and client presentations with strong visual communication
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high design quality and deadlines
- Mentor junior designers and provide creative direction where needed
- Maintain and evolve internal design templates, libraries, and visualization standards
- Undertake design, technology, software and visual communication research to stay up-to-date with emerging tools, techniques and industry best practice
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
- 10-15 years of professional experience, with significant exposure to planning, urban design, or architectural projects
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of urban planning and design projects and proposals
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Experience with mapping and diagramming tools (e.g., GIS visualization tools, CAD integration, or similar platforms)
- Strong understanding of spatial planning concepts and architectural communication
- Excellent layout, typography, and information design skills
- Ability to simplify complex technical content into visually engaging outputs
- Strong understanding of regional (Middle Eastern) cultural context and its application in design communication
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of 3D modeling and visualization workflows, with familiarity in tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, Enscape, or GIS Platforms.
- Motion graphics or interactive presentation experience
- Knowledge of urban planning processes and terminology
- Experience working in multidisciplinary design or consultancy environments
- Strong storytelling and presentation development skills
