Senior Hostess (Fine Dining)
Job Summary
The Senior Hostess serves as the first point of contact for guests and sets the standard for an exceptional fine dining experience. The role oversees front-of-house greeting and seating operations, manages reservations and guest flow, and works closely with the service team to ensure smooth operations and high hospitality standards. The Senior Hostess also supports team training and ensures compliance with service and grooming standards.
Critical Tasks (Key Responsibilities)
Guest Reception & Seating
- Welcome guests courteously, confirm reservations, and manage seating in line with service standards and table rotation.
- Maintain waitlists and communicate accurate waiting times.
Reservation & Floor Management
- Manage reservations via phone, email, and reservation systems.
- Update guest profiles with preferences, special occasions, and VIP notes.
- Coordinate seating plans with the Restaurant Manager and Sommelier to ensure optimal guest flow.
Service Coordination
- Liaise with service and kitchen teams regarding guest pacing, special requests, and dietary requirements.
- Monitor table turnover and guest journey to ensure consistent service quality.
Guest Experience & Upselling
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve minor complaints professionally.
- Promote signature dining experiences, special menus, and events.
- Collect guest feedback and share insights with management.
Standards & Training
- Uphold grooming, greeting, and service standards at all times.
- Support training and on-the-job coaching of hostess team members.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene policies.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain daily reservation records, guest preference logs, and VIP trackers.
- Complete end-of-shift handover notes and assist with operational reviews.

- Monthly Salary: AED 3,000 (tax-free)

Eligibility & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hostess or guest relations role; fine dining experience preferred.
- Education: Hospitality or Tourism qualification is an advantage.
- Availability: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Professional Standards: Excellent grooming, punctuality, and adherence to service policies.
