Responsibilities:
- Lead and review the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure works including roads, drainage, utilities, sewerage, water supply, irrigation, and associated civil works.
- Review and approve infrastructure design submissions, technical reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, and method statements prepared by contractors and design teams.
- Ensure infrastructure designs and construction activities comply with local authority requirements, international standards, contract documents, and project specifications.
- Provide site supervision and technical support during construction, including inspections, testing, commissioning, and verification of works against approved designs.
- Coordinate with internal disciplines (structural, architectural, MEP, landscape) and external stakeholders such as authorities, utility providers, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure design alignment.
- Review contractor deviations, non-conformances, and technical queries; propose corrective and remedial solutions in coordination with the project team.
- Assist in reviewing project schedules, construction methodologies, and risk assessments related to infrastructure works.
- Support the Quantity Surveyor in assessing completed works, variations, and payment certifications related to infrastructure packages.
- Participate in design coordination meetings, progress meetings, technical workshops, and constructability reviews, providing expert input and recommendations.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control procedures are implemented in accordance with the consultant's QA/QC systems and approved project standards.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and support HSE audits and reviews related to infrastructure works.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and inspectors, reviewing their work and ensuring timely performance evaluations.
- Prepare and review technical reports, progress updates, and recommendations for the client and project stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Minimum 812 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, preferably with a consulting firm.
- Strong experience in roads, utilities, drainage, sewage, and external works for large-scale developments.
- Thorough knowledge of local authority regulations, international standards, and design codes.
- Proven experience in design review, site supervision, contractor coordination, and client interaction.
- Strong leadership, communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
