Job Summary
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade virtualization and storage solutions across multiple customer environments. The role emphasizes VMware, Nutanix HCI, and enterprise storage platforms, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and scalable architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation and support of Nutanix platforms (AOS, AHV, NUS), delivering stable and scalable HCI solutions.
- Lead Implementation and optimization of enterprise storage systems (Dell EMC, HUAWEI, HPE).
- Own the deployment, configuration, and operation of VMware clusters and VCF components in enterprise environments.
- Proactively execute health checks, deep troubleshooting, and performance tuning across virtualization and storage layers.
- Contribute to solution design and architecture workshops, translating requirements into robust implementations.
- Plan and deliver complex infrastructure migrations across vSphere, Nutanix and storage.
- Produce clear, high-quality technical documentation, including runbooks and implementation guides.
- Provide advanced support, resolving critical virtualization and storage incidents.
- Enforce disaster recovery policies to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with network, DevOps, and application teams to resolve complex, multi-domain challenges.
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience in enterprise IT infrastructure and virtualization environments.
- Hands-on expertise in VMware vSphere and ESXi administration, configuration, and optimization.
- Solid practical experience with Nutanix technologies including AOS, AHV, Prism, and NUS.
- Strong understanding of HCI concepts, storage provisioning, snapshots, replication, and data protection mechanisms.
- Experience working with enterprise-grade storage platforms such as Dell EMC PowerStore, PowerScale, HPE, or similar solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across virtualization, storage, and performance layers.
- Good foundation in networking fundamentals, including VLANs, IP routing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Disaster Recovery solutions, including VMware SRM, Nutanix DR, and replication technologies.
- Knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) is a strong plus and highly desirable.
