Job Summary-
Design and deliver Pipe training programs to employees at various levels implementing a range of instructional strategies and demonstrating professional control of Piping techniques and skills, assessing competence both formative and summative, and evaluating training outcome and achievement of objectives.
Job Specific Responsibilities-
- Collaborate with DDW Departments to analyze training needs/ gaps and prepare relevant training plans based on the yard requirements
- Develop training courses materials including presentations, audio-visual components, handouts, lesson plans, instructor guides, assessments, and other references or resources.
- Deliver training to all interested parties up to DDW/ TD&PM standards.
- Assess and evaluate training in accordance with course and department standards.
- Trade test new employees up to the required standards.
- Record and communicate training results to concerned departments.
- Mentor Trainees where requested.
Technical Competencies-
- PID/Isometric and arrangement drawing interpretation skills.
- Material grade identification
- Piping Layout and fabrication skills
- Pipe support installation techniques
- Identification of various valves and inline special items
- Test pack markup and package preparation experience
- Pipe installation and flange management awareness
- Pressure testing and documentation knowledge
- Compression tubing and brazing awareness
- GRE and HDPE joining experience.
- Pipe fit/weld rework reduction techniques.
Education & Experience-
- University degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline
- 10 years Experience in Large EPC Companies, Shipyards, Oil & Gas Industry will be an added advantage.
