Role Objectives:
As a Senior Interior Designer you will be responsible for leading and overseeing interior design projects from concept to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, project management skills, and the ability to translate client needs into innovative and functional spaces.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead design projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring all phases are executed effectively.
- Collaborate with clients to define project requirements and develop a detailed schedule during the briefing phase.
- Analyze and translate customer needs into preliminary design plans, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Establish project costs and fees in accordance with the allocated budget, providing transparency to stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough research to identify and select appropriate materials and products for the project, ensuring quality and compliance with project specifications.
- Develop and produce design samples and mood boards that effectively communicate the aesthetic vision of the project.
- Monitor and supervise work progress throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Work closely with designers, decorators, architects, and constructors to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project.
- Stay informed about industry trends, changes, and best practices to ensure that the project aligns with current standards and innovations.
- Coordinate with all project stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met and effectively integrated into the project execution.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field with 4-6 years of experience.
- Proven working experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful projects.
- Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and installations.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, or other relevant tools).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Creative talent, who has imagination, and a keen eye for design.
