Summary of the role:

The Sr. Interior Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and refining design plans, collaborating with the design team on factors like budget, space usage, and aesthetics, and creating practical, and aesthetic spaces.

Key responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Head of Interior Design Department.
  • Develop and present design concepts that align with client needs and project objectives.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to clearly communicate the design intent and gather feedback.
  • Provide guidance on space planning, furniture and equipment placement, color coordination, and overall aesthetic cohesion.
  • Ensure design consistency and adherence to established style guides across all project elements.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, 3D visualizers, and junior designers to ensure high-quality execution of design intent.
  • Collaborate closely with FFE (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) designers to ensure full alignment and consistency across all design elements.
  • Review and validate design deliverables, drawings, and renderings prepared by the team to ensure accuracy and alignment with the approved design concept.
  • Coordinate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure smooth design implementation throughout all project stages.
  • Mentor and guide junior design staff to uphold project standards and creative excellence.
  • Select, specify, and approve artworks, accessories, materials, and finishes that complement the overall design and meet functional requirements.
  • Develop mood boards and material sample boards to communicate the overall atmosphere, aesthetic, and material palette.
  • Manage multiple design tasks and ensure timely delivery of all project milestones.
  • Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and innovations to ensure projects reflect contemporary standards and creativity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in interior design, with a focus on high-end projects.
  • Demonstrable portfolio with a strong experience in delivering high end projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Fluent Arabic Speaking
  • 10+ years of experience using SketchUp design software
  • Expertise in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design software.
  • Good experience with 3D visualization tools and rendering software.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects from concept through completion.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills.
  • Creative and strategic mindset with ability to think innovatively and execute complete design concepts.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a high attention to detail.
  • Working conditions and Environment:

    • The position is an office based in Dubai. UAE.
    • The position has no international business travel requirements.
