Role Description
Klick is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Inventory Planner for a full-time role based on-site in Cairo. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing inventory planning and control processes, ensuring optimal stock levels, and accurate forecasting to meet business demands. The role encompasses demand planning to align supply with client requirements, overseeing purchase orders, analyzing inventory trends, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
1. 3PL & Warehouse Network Management
- Operational Oversight: Monitor daily 3PL activities to ensure third-party providers meet contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for receiving, storage, and dispatch.
- Performance Auditing: Conduct regular virtual or physical audits of 3PL inventory records to ensure physical stock matches the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all external stores adhere to regulatory shipping standards and corporate safety protocols for trade goods.
2. Inventory Control & Trade Fulfillment
- Stock Integrity: Execute cycle count programs and reconcile inventory discrepancies across all third-party locations to maintain 100% data accuracy.
- Time-Critical Logistics: Orchestrate high-priority B2B shipments, selecting the most efficient freight modes to meet strict delivery windows.
- Back-Order Optimization: Track pending orders and synchronize with 3PLs to ensure immediate fulfillment upon stock replenishment, reducing days-to-ship metrics.
3. Reverse Logistics & Returns Management
- Returns Processing: Manage the end-to-end return-to-vendor (RTV) or return-to-stock (RTS) process, ensuring goods are inspected and documented upon arrival at 3PL sites.
- Value Recovery: Determine the disposition of returned stock (re-sellable, damaged, or obsolete) to minimize financial loss and maintain high inventory velocity.
- Documentation Management: Maintain meticulous records of return authorizations, credit memos, and inspection reports for financial reconciliation.
4. Communication & Stakeholder Coordination
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as the primary communication link between the internal team (Sales/Procurement), external 3PL partners, and B2B customers.
- Dispute Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for resolving carrier delays, shipment damages, or 3PL operational bottlenecks.
- Process Improvement: Analyze logistics data to identify recurring issues and propose Lean solutions to optimize the movement of goods and reduce landed costs.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Inventory Planning, Demand Planning, and Inventory Control
- Strong Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Experience in creating, processing, and managing Purchase Orders
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and software is advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or any related field.
- 35 years in Warehouse Operations or Inventory Control (specifically dealing with 3PL/External stores).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Key Knowledge: Strong grasp of Reverse Logistics (Returns) and B2B trade fulfillment.
- Very good English (written and verbal) to handle documentation and reporting.
