Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Estimator role based in Dubai. The Senior Estimator is responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing quantity take-offs, sourcing quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, and developing accurate cost estimates. The role involves collaborating with the project management team to review bids and proposals, support contract negotiations, and provide timely updates on project costs and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the estimation of large, prestigious, high-end interior fit-out projects.
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and manage cost estimation and control.
• Manage the full tendering process, including bid preparation, scheduling, and submission within deadlines.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, tender documents, quantities, and contract requirements.
• Review and comment on technical and commercial specifications.
• Prepare material take-offs to support market pricing by the Purchasing Department.
• Adjudicate contractor claims, verify subcontractor claims, and review Quantity Surveyor progress calculations for on-site and off-site materials.
• Supervise surveys and review third-party survey data.
• Coordinate closely with the Production and Project teams.
• Supervise, manage, and review the performance of the Estimating, Tender, and Quantity Surveying teams, including Junior Estimators and Material Specialists.
• Maintain and expand supplier and subcontractor databases, continuously pre-qualifying new vendors.

Requirements & Skills

• 56 years as an Estimator in commercial interiors, retail, fit-out, or joinery refurbishment.
• Skilled in reading 2D/3D drawings and preparing material requests.
• Strong cost estimation, risk analysis, and budgeting abilities.
• Experience gathering site data, sourcing quotes, and managing vendors.
• Proficient in forecasting, reporting, and supporting project planning.
