DAR Engineering - Cairo Office is seeking an experienced SeniorLandscape Architect to join our growing design & engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of complex and challenging projects. Works within a Landscape Design team to plan, coordinate, and deliver small to medium-scale projects (or defined portions of larger projects), while liaising periodically with the Discipline Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate landscape design activities and team members.
- Manage resources, schedules, and project delivery strategy.
- Ensure design quality, accuracy, and multi-disciplinary coordination of all deliverables.
- Interface with key stakeholders such as clients, sub-consultants, and statutory authorities.
- Prepare scopes of work, respond to comments and queries, and support design reports and presentations.
- Review and assess project plans, determining design feasibility and identifying constraints to facilitate successful project execution.
- Ensure all designs and processes comply with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, contributing to overall quality assurance.
- Identify and analyze design issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions to resolve technical challenges efficiently.
- Follow established design guidelines, procedures, and industry standards to maintain consistency and quality across all projects.
- Conduct detailed design analysis and calculations to ensure that designs meet project specifications and performance criteria.
- Maintain precise and organized design files for reference and compliance purposes, ensuring easy retrieval and review.
- Integrate health, safety, and environmental considerations into design processes, ensuring all designs adhere to relevant standards and regulations.
- Keep up to date with advancements in landscaping design engineering and design fields, applying new knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
- Assist and mentor Junior design team members, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and project success.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong landscape design expertise with understanding of interdisciplinary coordination.
- Proven project experience with ability to manage deliverables within time and budget.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and presentation tools.
- Knowledge of codes, regulations, authority requirements, and sustainable design principles.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Ability to manage stakeholders, maintain professional relationships, and support team development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture relevant filed from a reputable institute
- Minimum 8 years of previous work experience
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
