Job summary:

The Light Current Site Engineer is responsible for supervising, executing, and commissioning ICT and light current systems across commercial and industrial projects. The role ensures that all systems—such as CCTV, access control, fire alarm, structured cabling, and building automation—are implemented according to design specifications, international standards, and client expectations. The engineer will lead on-site teams, manage subcontractors, and maintain full project documentation while upholding SYSTICS commitment to innovation, precision, and reliability.

Job Description:

  • Supervise and execute on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of light current systems, including:
  • CCTV & IP Surveillance
  • Access Control Systems
  • Fire Alarm & Voice Evacuation Systems
  • Structured Cabling & Data Networks
  • Audio/Visual & Public Address Systems
  • Building Management and Automation Systems
  • Manage and guide a team of technicians to ensure that the project's technical requirements are met efficiently.
  • Supervise subcontractors when needed, ensuring they meet deadlines and standards for quality and efficiency.
  • Address questions related to passive infrastructure design throughout the project lifecycle.
  •  Maintain accurate documentation of port assignments and other network infrastructure details.
  • Oversee, support, and document the installation of passive infrastructure materials.
  • Ensure that the team meets planned schedules and project milestones.
  •  Identify, document, and resolve customer network and infrastructure issues during the project.
  • Work closely with sales and presales teams to clarify technical gaps and communicate effective solutions that meet client needs.
  •  Compile and document quantities, materials used, and all relevant project data at the conclusion of each project.
  • Interpret project drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to ensure proper system implementation.
  • Coordinate with the project manager, design team, and suppliers to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with safety and technical standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues during installation and commissioning phases.
  • Prepare site progress reports, material requests, and as-built documentation.
  • Support the handover process, ensuring full system functionality and client satisfaction.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and technicians when required.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering (or related field).
  • 7–10 years of proven experience in light current, ELV, or ICT systems installation and commissioning.
  • Experience managing teams and subcontractors on commercial or industrial projects preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, fire alarm, data, and automation systems.
  • Proficiency in structured cabling, passive network infrastructure, and termination standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and BOQs.
  • Familiarity with international standards (NFPA, BICSI, EIA/TIA, BS, or equivalent).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and relevant project management tools.
