Senior Landscape Architect

As a Senior Landscape Architect based in Dubai, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of landscape design projects through various phases. Your expertise will play a crucial role in creating innovative and sustainable outdoor spaces that enhance the aesthetic appeal, functionality, and environmental sustainability of projects in the dynamic and culturally diverse context of Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership:

Manage design teams of various size working on projects throughout the design phases

Lead the landscape design team in conceptualizing and developing creative solutions for outdoor spaces.

Oversee and guide the project team through all design phases, from conceptualization to construction documentation and implementation.

Engage with clients to understand their vision, goals, and requirements

Present and articulate design concepts effectively to clients, ensuring alignment with their expectations and obtaining necessary approvals.

Develop and refine design concepts, ensuring they meet the aesthetic, functional, and sustainable goals of the project.

Integrate cultural and contextual considerations into the landscape design, reflecting the unique character of Dubai.

2. Technical Proficiency:

Ability to manage large teams and work on 1 -2 projects at any given time

QA/QC of projects review drawings from other disciplines.

Provide technical expertise in landscape architecture.

Prepare and review construction documentation, specifications, and details to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative landscape design approaches.

3. Team Management:

Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented work environment.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project delivery.

4. Budget and Schedule Management:

Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

5 Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Proven experience as a Landscape Architect, with strong technical experienece
• Experience working on large scale developments
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of local plants, climate considerations, and sustainable practices in the Middle East region would be preferred
