At WSP Middle East, we are growing our Landscape Design Studio and are seeking a talented
Senior Landscape Architect to join our team in Riyadh, KSA. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to some of the region's most iconic and transformative developments, supporting major projects across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.
We are looking for a highly creative design professional with exceptional conceptual thinking, strong hand-sketching capabilities, and advanced digital visualization skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-quality landscape solutions across a variety of project scales.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of innovative landscape architecture and public realm concepts from visioning through detailed design.
- Produce high-quality hand sketches, freehand illustrations, and digital visualizations to communicate design intent.
- Support landscape master planning, urban design, public realm, and detailed landscape architecture projects.
- Collaborate closely with architects, urban designers, engineers, planners, and environmental specialists to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Develop creative, sustainable, and cost-effective landscape design proposals aligned with client aspirations and project objectives.
- Prepare presentations, reports, drawings, design narratives, and technical documentation.
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and design reviews, presenting concepts and design solutions with confidence.
- Support project delivery from concept design through construction stages while maintaining WSP's quality standards.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continued growth of the Landscape Design Studio.
- Stay informed of emerging industry trends, design technologies, sustainability initiatives, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline.
- 8-15+ years of professional experience within a leading landscape architecture, urban design, or multidisciplinary consultancy.
- Strong experience delivering landscape architecture and public realm projects across the Middle East region.
- Exceptional conceptual design ability with a strong portfolio showcasing hand-drawing, sketching, and digital design capabilities.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, Enscape, or equivalent visualization tools.
- Excellent graphic communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of landscape detailing, construction methodologies, and project delivery processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
