Job Purpose
The Senior Lawyer supports the organization in corporate and civil legal matters, ensuring full legal compliance, mitigating risk, and providing timely legal counsel to internal stakeholders. The role works closely with the Legal Team Leader to manage litigation, review contracts, and support governance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and provide expertise in corporate and civil litigation before judicial and governmental authorities.
- Monitor and support the finalization of legal and general assembly procedures with entities such as GAFI, Civil Defense, and the Economic Zone Administration.
- Review, draft, and renew contracts to ensure legal compliance and alignment with business requirements.
- Provide proactive legal advice to internal stakeholders on emerging legal risks, precedents, and regulatory matters.
- Prepare legal warnings, notices, and sanctions when required.
- Support compliance initiatives and participate in internal investigations as needed.
- Maintain proper legal documentation and ensure adherence to corporate governance standards.
- Coach and support junior legal team members to strengthen departmental capability and performance.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable university.
Experience
- 57 years of progressive experience in legal affairs.
- Solid exposure to corporate and civil litigation is required.
- Experience within industrial, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments is a strong advantage.
Technical & Systems Knowledge
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Solid understanding of contract drafting and legal documentation.
- Familiarity with governmental procedures and regulatory compliance in Egypt.
Language Requirements
- Fluent English written and spoken.
- Arabic fluency is required.
