Overview:
The Senior Legal Counsel position within the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA)
regulated ADGM entity is a key role focused on regulatory law, legal drafting, and policy
development within a common law framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Advisory: Deliver comprehensive legal advice to the Group Executive
Management and teams overseeing regulated entities.
Litigation Support: Manage administrative, tribunal, and court matters related to
legal actions.
Legal Drafting: Draft and review all corporate legal documents, contracts, legal
agreements, MOUs, and notices.
Project Management: Manage legal projects and coordinate with
internal/external stakeholders.
Tech & FinTech Innovation: Conduct research and provide legal advice on
emerging technologies, including blockchain, crypto assets, AI, and smart
contracts.
BOD Secretary: Support BOD and Executive Management in fulfilling their
governance responsibilities.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop the legal team to ensure high
performance and foster a culture of growth, teamwork, collaboration and
continuous learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) is required a Master's degree in Law (LLM) or
equivalent is preferred.
Minimum of 10-15 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership
role within the financial services industry.
Extensive experience in corporate law, compliance, risk management, and
regulatory matters within ADGM.
Strong knowledge of ADGM regulations and financial services laws.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
Ability to work under pressure and handle complex legal matters with
professionalism.
