Join Novartis as a Senior Legal Manager and make a real impact across the Middle East and Africa. In this pivotal role, you'll act as a trusted legal advisor and business partner, shaping strategic decisions, managing complex contracts, and guiding risk assessments that influence the future of healthcare. You'll lead legal projects independently, support country teams, and mentor junior colleagueshelping us deliver innovative solutions with integrity and compliance at the core.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted legal partner for country teams and business functions across MEA.
  • Draft and negotiate complex contracts and transactions independently.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and deliver targeted training on key legal topics.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks, ensuring early involvement in business decisions.
  • Manage significant disputes, litigation, and investigations with autonomy.
  • Mentor and guide junior legal counsels, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Lead and develop legal resources to strengthen compliance and business support.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law with strong academic foundation.
  • Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in legal practice or corporate counsel roles.
  • Proven expertise in contract negotiation and complex legal risk assessment.
  • Ability to manage litigation and investigations independently with sound judgment.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English; French is an advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills across diverse regions.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions in the Middle East and Africa region.
  • Proficiency in French to support broader regional engagement.
