Job Purpose:
The Senior Logistics Specialist will oversee complex logistics operations for EPC projects, focusing on customs clearance, heavy-lift transportation, and international shipping. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizes logistics processes to support timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead logistics planning for large-scale EPC projects, including heavy equipment and oversized cargo.
- Manage end-to-end customs clearance processes for imported/exported materials.
- Develop and implement strategies for cost-effective and timely transportation.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and validate shipping documentation (HS codes, certificates of origin, permits).
- Monitor and track shipments, proactively resolving delays and bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, Incoterms, and local regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments for logistics operations and propose mitigation plans.
- Support project teams with logistics-related technical advice and solutions.
- Mentor junior logistics staff and share best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 58 years of experience in logistics within EPC or large-scale industrial projects.
- Expertise in customs clearance procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of heavy-lift transportation, oversized cargo handling, and Incoterms.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations and documentation.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
