Senior Machine Learning Engineer

We are hiring: Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Full-time, On-site Cairo)

Nanovate is building advanced Arabic-first AI systems that deliver real value for enterprises across the region. We are expanding our core engineering team and looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with strong technical depth, ownership, and the ability to work in a fast-growing, product-driven environment.

Role Overview:

As a key member of our engineering team, you will work directly with the CTO to design, build, and deploy machine learning systems end-to-end. You will play a central role in developing and optimizing our LLM, RAG, and multimodal capabilities while guiding junior engineers and pushing high-quality models into production.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and deploy machine learning models with a focus on LLMs and RAG systems

Develop and manage scalable ML pipelines from experimentation to production

Collaborate with the CTO on architecture, research direction, and technical decisions

Evaluate, optimize, and monitor model performance in production environments

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to overall engineering best practices

Work closely with backend and product teams to integrate ML components into production systems

Requirements:

Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in machine learning or deep learning

Strong experience with LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, and transformer architectures

Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

Experience building full ML systems, not only research prototypes

Solid understanding of evaluation, optimization, and model lifecycle management

Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and backend engineering is preferred

Strong sense of ownership, problem-solving, and technical leadership

Ability to work on-site in Cairo in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
