Job Purpose:
To lead, develop and execute the Bancassurance sales strategy across the bank's retail and business banking segments. The role drives revenue growth, ensures regulatory compliance, strengthens insurance partner relationships, and delivers customer-centric business outcomes. The Senior Manager, Bancassurance Sales is accountable for generation of insurance business through all the entire distribution ecosystem (branches, telesales, digital, and relationship-managed channels), ensuring productivity, quality assurance, and sustainable growth.
Principal Accountabilities:
Strategy & Business Leadership
Develop and implement the annual Bancassurance Sales strategy aligned with business priorities and revenue targets.
Identify new product opportunities in collaboration with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Insurance partners.
Drive portfolio growth across protection, savings, and investment-linked insurance products.
Sales Distribution Management
Lead and manage business generation for insurance products through all sales channels including branches, telesales, RMs, and outsourced sales teams.
Set performance targets and monitor KPIs such as ANP, case count, productivity per salesperson, conversion rates, and persistency.
Optimize sales funnel performance and drive field coaching, certification as required, and sales capability programs.
Governance, Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with UAE Central Bank, Insurance Authority, and internal conduct standards.
Oversee adherence to approved sales scripts, documentation completeness, call-back verification, and coolingoff requirements.
Continuously improve governance processes in partnership with Business Risk & Governance and Compliance teams.
Ensure zerotolerance adherence to misselling, suitability, and fair customer outcomes.
Partner Relationship Management
Manage strategic relationships, in partnership with the Insurance Product Manager, with insurance partners and ensure delivery of agreed SLAs, product training, claims support, and campaign development.
In partnership with the Insurance Product Manager, negotiate performance targets, partnership agreements, incentive structures, and annual business plans.
People Leadership
Lead insurance performance, coach, motivate, and develop the Sales teams across multiple channels to achieve high performance.
Oversee hiring of any insurance specific staff, certification as required, and ongoing competence assessments of sales staff.
Establish a culture of ethical selling, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Operational Performance
Own the annual Bancassurance Sales budget and revenue plan.
Track performance dashboards, MIS, incentive payouts, retention metrics, and clawback management.
Ensure accurate sales reporting and coordination with Finance and Product teams.
Requirements:
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred (Finance, Business, Insurance, or related fields).
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 in a senior Bancassurance or retail banking role.
Experience working in a peer bank or financial institution with comparable scale and ambition.
