Position Summary

The Senior Manager, EHS & Facilities is responsible for overseeing Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Facilities management across AEM's Singapore and Malaysia operations. This role ensures all sites operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and AEM policies. The position focuses on disciplined execution of EHS practices and facilities operations to support manufacturing uptime, risk management, and cost efficiency. The role works closely with site operations leaders to maintain safe working environments, reliable infrastructure, and effective governance across both countries.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce EHS policies, standards, and procedures aligned with AEM requirements
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS laws and regulations in Singapore and Malaysia
  • Establish and manage incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes
  • Identify and mitigate workplace safety, environmental, and operational risks
  • Support emergency preparedness, safety drills, and business continuity plans
  • Oversee facilities operations across Singapore and Malaysia, including utilities, infrastructure, and workplace environment
  • Ensure reliability and uptime of critical systems supporting manufacturing operations
  • Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programmes
  • Support site expansions, relocation, and infrastructure upgrade projects
  • Manage external vendors and contractors (maintenance, security, cleaning, utilities)
  • Monitor vendor performance, service quality, and cost effectiveness
  • Track EHS and facilities KPIs, providing regular reporting and improvement actions
  • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements across both countries
  • Lead and develop the EHS and facilities teams at site level
  • Promote a strong safety culture and drive employee engagement in EHS practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, EHS, Facilities Management, or related field
  • Minimum 10–12 years of relevant experience in EHS and facilities management
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore and Malaysia EHS regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing facilities and utilities in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Prior exposure to electronics, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills across multiple sites
  • Proven ability to manage vendors and drive operational discipline
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and execution capability
