About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manager- Electricalto join Dubai Holding Real Estate.
The job holder will be responsible for managing the Electrical engineering design, delivery, and handover of all the assigned projects.
Key job responsibilities:
- Participate in the appointment of the MEP consultant and issue Engineering scope of services related to Electrical / ICT / AV / Security systems based on project brief; ensuring a clear and aligned project vision through a well-defined scope of services document.
- Direct and Monito the consultant to develop innovative, sustainable, and optimized Electrical / ICT / AV / Security system designs from concept to tender stage ensuring delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly mechanical system designs that meet project requirements.
- Review the MEP consultant Electrical / ICT / AV / Security systems deliverables in all design stages and organize regular design workshops for comments close out within schedule.
- Propose appropriate due diligence Value Engineering options for electrical systems to meet the project budget. Ensure that the Issue for Construction (IFC) electrical drawings have been coordinated and in compliance with Authorities regulations.
- Manage the Engineering electrical / ICT / AV / Security systems submissions (shop drawings and material submittals) during the construction phase and ensure completion as per schedule.
- Undertake frequent site visits to monitor and control the quality of installation at site (Electrical / ICT / AV / Security systems) to deliver world class standards and quality.
- Monitor and manage as necessary the MEP systems handing over to Authorities to ensure a seamless and compliant handover of MEP systems to the Authorities for project approval.
- Monitor and control systems Testing & Commission of all electrical related components through efficient testing and commissioning procedures to verify the proper functioning and performance of all electrical systems.
- Monitor and direct consultant to close out of all Request for Information (RFI's) raised by contractors during construction phase to facilitate clear communication and timely resolution of all contractor inquiries (RFIs).
- Involve in the tender evaluation process by working closely with consultants to answer tender queries and make suitable modifications during the tendering phase.
- Track Electrical related issues, root causes, and corrective actions recommended / taken to ensure closure in a timely manner; and ensure the Department Head and other executive management, as appropriate, are informed of significant issues that may jeopardize the achievement of the project's time/budget.
- Monitor the consultants and contractor's performance on site and ensure compliance with project requirements, quality, time and cost.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, methodologies, tools and best practices in Electrical design.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; Master's degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- 15+ years of relevant experience with at least 4 years with large-scale Building projects.
- Proficiency in Electrical design software and tools, CAD software and designing Electrical systems and components.
- Expert in materials and their properties, including the ability to select appropriate materials for specific electrical applications.
- Team Leadership-Ability to lead and manage electrical design teams, set project goals, and motivate team members.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly to team members, stakeholders, and clients.
