JOB TITLE

Senior Manager - Food Quality | MAF Retail | UAE Corporate Head Office

ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Quality will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and monitoring quality standards across the Retail Discount business to ensure that product, pricing, sourcing, and operational practices meet the highest standards of compliance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The role will act as a bridge between Commercial, Operations, and Support Functions to safeguard brand reputation, reduce waste, and deliver consistent value to customers.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Define and implement quality policies, processes, and KPIs for the Retail Discount business.
  • Develop and enforce product quality standards across fresh, ambient, and non-food categories in line with regulations and company guidelines.
  • Monitor supplier compliance through audits, inspections, and performance scorecards.
  • Ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance in pricing, labeling, packaging, and promotional activities.
  • Conduct regular reviews of store and warehouse processes, including cold chain integrity, handling, shelf-life monitoring, and markdown practices.
  • Track and resolve customer complaints related to product quality, pricing errors, or stock discrepancies, and propose systemic improvements.
  • Lead root cause analyses for quality incidents, implement corrective actions, and drive quality awareness and training programs.
  • Provide periodic quality dashboards and reports to senior leadership and ensure transparent governance for quality breaches.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Food Science, or Quality Management.
  • Professional certifications such as ISO, Six Sigma, HACCP, or Lean (preferred).
  • 710 years of experience in quality management, commercial governance, or retail operations.
  • Prior experience in FMCG, Retail Discount, or Value Retail (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
