Job Summary:

We are seeking a SeniorManager - Mergers & Acquisitions and Funding for a leading organization specialized in environment and waste management. The role will focus on leading strategic investments, M&A activities, and raising project funds. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in investment analysis, business development, financial structuring, and funding strategies.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and execute M&A, investment, and strategic partnership opportunities within the energy and waste management sectors.
  • Oversee end-to-end M&A processes, including target identification, due diligence, financial modelling, valuation, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Drive project financing andfunding initiatives, including investor engagement and financing strategies.
  • Lead business development efforts to expand the company's portfolio in energy and environmental services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive strategic transactions and funding initiatives.
  • Oversee preparation and presentation of investment proposals, business cases, and funding strategies to senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor post-acquisition integration, performance, and synergy realization.
  • Track market trends, funding opportunities, and industry developments to identify growth avenues within the sector.

Key skills and qualifications required:

  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Must have relevant certifications such as CFA, ACCA and CPA.
  • Must have 10 - 12 years of experience in M&A, investments, and business development within the energy, utilities, or waste management sectors.
  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end M&A transactions and funding/capital raising activities.
  • Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation (DCF, comparables), due diligence, and capital structuring.
  • Solid understanding of energy markets (renewables, power, waste-to-energy, sustainability) and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and commercial acumen.
  • Experience in cross-border transactions and international fundraising is a strong advantage.
