Job Purpose Overview:
This role is focused on supporting the visioning and strategic development of masterplans across assigned portfolios. Responsibilities include contributing to high-level site analysis, defining spatial frameworks, supporting the formulation of development strategies, land-use distributions, and public realm visions. The position plays a key role during the early phases of masterplan origination, including pre-concept and concept stages, helping to shape cohesive and future-oriented planning narratives. Typically, the role supports multiple projects concurrently, each with fast-paced timelines, and aims to deliver impactful, context-sensitive master planning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in shaping and articulating the strategic vision for new master planned communities, districts, or developments in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Perform high-level assessments of potential development sites, considering spatial context, accessibility, environmental factors, and development constraints/opportunities.
- Contribute to Land Use & Zoning Strategies , Support the preparation of preliminary land use frameworks and zoning concepts that guide the allocation of functions, densities, and open spaces across the site.
- Provide comparative research and international best-practice case studies to inform strategic planning and contextual relevance of masterplan proposals.
- Contribute to high-level public realm concepts and strategies that promote liveability, identity, and social value within masterplanned environments.
- Liaise with internal teams including development, sustainability, mobility, and infrastructure to ensure strategic alignment across disciplines.
- Prepare Executive-Level Briefing Materials Develop clear and concise presentations, reports, and diagrams to communicate masterplanning concepts to senior leadership and external consultants.
- Support the review and evaluation of work produced by external masterplanning consultants to ensure alignment with vision, brief, and strategic direction.
- Assist in identifying development priorities, phasing strategies, and feasibility considerations for integration into the broader development roadmap.
- Responsibilities include managing the design and development of the various stages of Masterplanning projects from vision to concept and detailed masterplans.
- Supports bids team with technical proposal , Plays a lead role in design coordination with transport, infrastructure, landscape, architecture, marine, CGI, and other sub-consultants.
- Responsible for project delivery, including presentations, masterplan reports, CGIs, DCRs, Design Guidelines, sales launch packages.
- Coordinating and obtaining authority approvals (including Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, and Service Authorities).
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Master Planning and Design, and/or master's in urban design or in Real Estate
- 10+ years of experience in master planning and/or real estate master planning across asset classes with medium and large developers or authorities.
- Proven Experience in managing planning processes for developments
- Extensive knowledge of master planning design and real estate value chain from visioning, and idea generation to the construction phase
- Understanding land use and products with non-revenue versus revenue generation potential.
