The Senior Operational Risk Manager is responsible for leading the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of operational risks across ADSS's business lines, systems, and processes. The role ensures robust control frameworks are in place to protect business performance, regulatory compliance, and organizational reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and periodic review of ADSS's operational risk management framework, including policies, procedures, controls, and risk assessment systems.
  • Oversee the identification, assessment, and monitoring of operational risks across business processes, IT systems, and new initiatives.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret operational risk data, conduct root cause analysis, and propose risk mitigation solutions.
  • Manage and update the Operational Risk Register; support predictive analytics and reporting for better risk management.
  • Guide business units in completing Risk & Control Assessments, scenario analyses, and thematic reviews.
  • Monitor effectiveness of controls, key risk indicators (KRIs), and key control indicators (KCIs), ensuring timely review and enhancement.
  • Investigate and report operational risk incidents to leadership, including recommendations for improved controls or remediation.
  • Support and promote awareness of operational risk trends, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
  • Deliver ongoing training and guidance to staff on operational risk policy, controls, incident response, and regulatory expectations.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive risk reporting, dashboards, and analysis to senior management and risk committees.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, audit, and governance requirements.
  • Contribute to a culture of risk management excellence, collaboration, and transparency across the business.
  • Effectively validating and challenging 1LoD activities to ensure the Operational Risk Framework is effectively implemented within the business teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of proven experience in operational risk management roles, preferably within banking, financial services, or trading environments.
  • Candidates with IT background and /or experience in setting up risk management systems will be given priority.
  • Hands-on experience with risk and control frameworks, incident investigation, and control assurance.
  • Experience defining and supporting KRIs, KCIs, and operational risk reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree ideally in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
