The Marketing Communications Senior Specialist plays a key role in enhancing MAFI's global visibility and market presence within the agri-food B2B sector. This role is responsible for executing and coordinating external communications, event management, branding, and digital engagement strategies that reinforce MAFI's position as a leader in sustainable, innovative food processing. The Senior Specialist will manage and implement marketing communications initiatives that support MAFI's commercial goals from brand storytelling and media outreach to high-impact corporate events and supporting internal communications operation. Working closely with internal departments, agencies, and global partners, this role ensures message consistency, creative excellence, and strategic alignment across all touchpoints.
A. PR, External & Corporate Communications
Execute PR strategies that strengthen MAFI's reputation in global markets particularly across Europe, the U.S., and the Middle East.
Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and corporate statements highlighting MAFI's sustainability achievements, product innovation, and export milestones.
Liaise with local and international media outlets to secure coverage and manage interviews for senior executives.
Support crisis communication readiness and corporate positioning on sustainability, technology, and agri-processing leadership.
Collaborate with external agencies to ensure alignment between communications strategies and commercial objectives.
B. Branding & Visual Communications
Maintain MAFI's corporate identity and ensure consistent brand tone, visuals, and messaging across all channels.
Oversee the development of marketing assets including product brochures, trade show materials, presentations, and promotional merchandise.
Conduct quality reviews to ensure alignment with MAFI's global B2B standards, export positioning, and sustainability-focused image.
Partner with design and production teams to continuously evolve visual storytelling around MAFI's key product clusters citrus, tomato, multi-fruit pures, IQF, and freeze-dried lines.
C. Event Management (Trade Shows, Exhibitions & Corporate Events)
Execute MAFI's participation in international trade shows, exhibitions, and industry summits, ensuring world-class presentation and brand visibility.
Manage all event logistics including booth design, supplier coordination, media presence, and executive speaking engagements in coordination with the Marketing & Comm. Manager.
Collaborate cross-functionally with all teams to align event objectives with commercial targets.
Conceptualize and deliver corporate events, product launches, and press conferences that highlight MAFI's innovation and sustainability narrative.
Develop post-event reports and performance assessments to measure ROI and strengthen future participation strategies.
D. Content & Digital Marketing Support
Create and coordinate engaging, on-brand content for digital channels (LinkedIn, website, newsletters, etc.) that highlights MAFI's market insights, sustainability journey, and product excellence.
Support multimedia storytelling through videos, infographics, and thought-leadership articles.
Collaborate with designers and content creators to deliver impactful B2B communication materials that appeal to global clients and stakeholders.
E. Market Research & Competitive Insights
Conduct market intelligence on global trends in agri-processing, sustainable food production, and B2B marketing.
Monitor competitor activities and media presence to identify strategic communication opportunities.
Provide insight reports that inform campaign strategies, positioning, and event participation.
G. Internal Communications (Support Function)
Support the rollout of key internal announcements, leadership updates, and employee campaigns.
Create engaging content for internal newsletters and presentations when needed.
Contribute to internal engagement initiatives that align with MAFI's sustainability and innovation culture.
Oversee the updating and management of the marketing and communications database, including media contact lists, event stakeholders, and distribution groups, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and alignment with outreach strategies.
Qualifications:
4 to 5 years of experience in marketing communications.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field from an international university.
Strong background in event management, PR, and external communications ideally within the FMCG, agri-food, or export sectors.
Exceptional writing and storytelling skills in English and Arabic (French is a plus).
Proven track record in managing global events, trade exhibitions, and media relations.
Ability to manage multiple projects and vendors while maintaining attention to detail and brand quality.
Familiarity with sustainability communications and B2B marketing strategies.
Strong leadership, project management, and agency/vendor coordination capabilities.
Strong understanding of SEO principles and the fundamentals of email marketing to support effective digital communication tactics targeting global B2B audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools; experience with digital platforms (LinkedIn, WordPress, Mailchimp, etc.) is an advantage.
Tech-savvy mindset with openness to AI-driven tools for content generation and campaign analytics.
