El Salam for Contracting and General Supplying is seeking to hire:

• Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Heavy Equipment & Heavy Trucks)

Job Description:

-Lead and supervise the maintenance and repair operations for heavy equipment including:

-Loaders: Caterpillar, Komatsu.

-Telehandlers: JCB.

-Excavators, Rollers, and Compactors: Liebherr, TCM.

-Backhoe loaders and tractors: JCB, Mountain Clarks, and others.

-Manlifts and other construction equipment.

-Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and downtime.

-Conduct detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis for hydraulic, mechanical, and powertrain failures.

-Coordinate with spare parts and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of critical components.

-Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment performance reports.

-Supervise and mentor junior technicians and mechanics, ensuring proper maintenance standards are followed.

-Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures during all maintenance activities.

-Provide 24/7 technical support for emergency breakdowns and participate in daily equipment inspections.

-Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment uptime and reduce maintenance costs.

-Diagnoses, repairs, and services commercial vehicles (semi-trucks, buses) to ensure safety and performance.

-Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, oil changes, coolant checks, and tune-ups to avoid unexpected breakdowns.

-Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair histories, and documentation of parts used.

Qualifications & Skills:

-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field.

-Minimum 68 years hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance (construction or mining industry preferred).

-Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and powertrain systems.

-Familiarity with diagnostic tools and service software for Caterpillar, Komatsu, and JCB.

-Excellent leadership, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

-Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to urgent mechanical issues.

-Must be willing to reside at the worksite and be available for extended working hours as required.
