The Senior IT Network Engineer will be a key member of the IT department maintaining the network infrastructure.
The candidate plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructures to meet the organization's needs. This position involves supporting network projects, ensuring high availability and security, and staying ahead of emerging technologies.
Educational Requirements / Other Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any computer stream (3-4 Yrs)
- CCNA / CCNP
Experience Required
- Minimum 8 Years of relevant experience.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with networking technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and NAT.
- Experience with network & security equipment from vendors like Cisco, Fortinet, Dell, HP.
- Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, or PRTG, NetFlow for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge and hands on of networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and QoS.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade network equipment's switches, firewalls, NAC, WAF, Wireless Controllers, Access Points, etc.
- Expertise and proficiency in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid environments.
Key Accountabilities
- Design, implement scalable and secure network solutions, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, cloud and hybrid cloud networks.
- Plan and execute network upgrades and migrations with minimal impact to business operations.
- Plan and setup new office IT infrastructure in alignment with business requirements.
- Monitor network performance, ensuring optimal speed, reliability, and scalability.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex network issues, implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct capacity planning on network infrastructure and recommend improvements to meet future demands.
- Design firewall policies and rules to align with organizational security requirements.
- Perform assessments on the firewalls, network devices and implement recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Maintain the internet links and PRI lines across the offices.
- Work with ISPs on managing the existing network links, upgrades, and line provisioning.
- Maintain Telephony and contact center systems such as Cisco CUCM, Cisco Unity, Genesys CTI.
- Maintain the Cisco ISE network access control system.
- Setup & maintain the cloud networks (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid environments.
- Review firewall rules on periodic basis. Deploy and manage access control systems, ensuring least privilege principles.
- Stay on top of threats and Implement security patches and updates to prevent exploitation of vulnerabilities on network devices & Firewalls.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, incidents, and security measures.
- Implement and enforce access control policies, VPN configurations, and secure connectivity.
- Maintain the network architecture diagrams and IP schema for the organization.
- Work with MSP network support team to troubleshoot and fix the day-to-day network issues.
