We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead and manage the organization's network and network security infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring a secure, reliable, and scalable networking environment, while providing technical leadership and guidance to the network team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of secure, resilient, and scalable network infrastructures.
- Oversee daily network operations, projects, and incident response activities.
- Act as the highest escalation point for complex network and security issues.
- Define, maintain, and document network architecture, standards, and procedures.
- Manage and configure firewalls, switches, and access points (Fortinet, Cisco, HP, Aruba).
- Conduct network risk assessments, audits, and lead security compliance initiatives (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
- Proactively propose enhancements and upgrades to support future scalability and business growth.
- Collaborate closely with IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure aligned infrastructure strategies.
- Manage vendors and service providers to ensure optimal performance and service quality.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing technical team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in network engineering, network security, or a similar role.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated environments is a strong plus.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Network security solutions (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, F5 BIG-IP, etc.)
- Firewalls, switches, routing protocols, and network design
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
- Penetration testing and vulnerability assessment tools
- Solid understanding of industry frameworks and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, ITIL).
Preferred Certifications:
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CCNA / CCNP
- Security+, CEH, or equivalent certifications
